When I hear this song I get goosebumps. This is one of those songs for me that I think: Whew, Lordy, I wish I had written this. Not only is the imagery beautiful but it completely describes the constant yearning to be near God and reaching, calling out to experience Him more and more, using the display of longing from His creation on a constant path of movement and seeking, never ceasing in its pursuit, flowing, pushing to keep moving forward …tiny drops of water become streams trickling through the Earth until they reach the oceans. It’s so powerful. I never want to stop desperately seeking Him in my life, adjusting things to meet Him at His will and His design, always in this state of endlessly searching for Him, unsettled and uprooted in my life, walking on the edge of the world to find Him.
